Harvey Nichols Birmingham - Group 1

Recently my doll display for Harvey Nichols moved to the Birmingham store within the Mailbox. The display was from February to March. The dolls were displayed in five groups, four womens and one mens. Showing the new spring/summer 2010 designer clothing lines. The dolls were also holding promotional flyers, advertising an instore catwalk event.

Arae Exhibition

Last night was the private view of Arae exhibition at 10 Gales Gallery Bethnal Green. The exhibition is on til Sunday evening.

The work I am showing is: Cherry Dolls and Paintings

Series of acrylic on canvas fashion paintings, based on the new spring summer trends of 2010. Dolls with outfits inspired by Luella, Comme de Garcons, Alexander Wang and Danielle Scutt.

Following the success of the last Arae fashion and jewellery exhibition in September 2009, Arae returns this March with a new exhibit at the 10 Gales Gallery in Bethnal Green. The exhibit will show-case emerging creative talent across various art forms including fashion, film, illustration, jewellery and photography. The art space is transformed into an eccentric wonderland of garish, strong hues which are combined to create beautiful visual creations.

The private view and opening party will be held on March the 18th and starts at 6pm. We are also delighted to have Sobameshi & Porno (Yuki and Kohhei from Bo Ningen) to perform, with Monica Yam who plays regularly at the O2, DJ Tata Fernandez, the resident DJ at 10 Gales and ENNIO as guest DJs.

Arae’s last exhibition had representatives from Harper’s Bazaar, War Magazine, ASOS, Louis de Gama, plus many others in attendance. With this new exhibit, Arae will continue the success and encourages visitors from all walks of society who have a creative interest in sharing a visually stimulating experience.

Upcoming exhibition - Arae

The next exhibition I am taking part in is Arae, which is a group fashion exhibition. At the 10 gales gallery Bethnal Green later this month. A sneak preview of the work in progress to be on show. My work is inspired on the new trends for spring/summer 2010. Consisting of mixed media canvases of fashion illustrations, and a 3d textile piece.

Stylist magazine

The last exhibition I took part in was the Future Form, for the opening of fashion week. There was a article about it, that metioned my work in Stylist magazine. Stylist magazine can be viewed online and in print, released weekly. It is a dual magazine, the Stylist one is targted at females and the Shortlist magazine for males. It is handed out as a free publication at tube stations in london, also in Selfridges.
